PRAYER FOR YOUR NEEDS
On Saturday morning May 17 & 31, prayer teams will be available to pray for your needs: sickness, finances, work issues, family, personal needs, etc. Since, “The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective’ (James 5:16b), come to the gathering area after the Saturday morning Mass (approx 9:30am). AGAPE STREET MINISTRY

FRIENDSHIP CLUB
Join the IC Friendship Club Monday, May 26th for a bus trip to the Vancouver Aquarium.  The bus will leave IC parking lot at 9:00am and return by 2:00pm. Bring a bagged lunch, or buy your lunch.  Pay $15 at the rectory.

ELECTIONS
Committee elections will be held after Masses on:
Sunday, May 24th & 25th. Those eligible to vote are Catholics who have reached the age of 19, residing within parish boundaries and are registered members of the parish. It is the individual’s responsibility to ensure that his/her name is on the Voters’ List. This list will be available to parishioners at the back of the church on two weekends: Sunday May 11th and 18th. .
Parish Education Committee (2 to be elected)
Nomination forms are available at the school or the rectory. Those eligible for nomination are: practicing Catholics, who are registered members of the parish, approved by the Pastor and have reached the age of 21.
Parish Pastoral Committee (2 to be elected)
Nomination forms are available at the rectory. Those eligible for nomination are: Registered practicing Catholics of the parish for at least two years, approved by the Pastor and have reached the age of 21.
Holy Cross High School Education Committee (1 to be elected) 
Nomination forms are available at the rectory. Those eligible for nomination are: practicing Catholics, who are registered members of the parish, approved by the Pastor and have reached the age of 21.
Nominations close May 15th  
Nomination forms are to be returned to the school or the rectory on or before this date.
Advanced Poll will be available May 22nd and 23rd during office hours at the rectory for parishioners who will be away from the parish on Election Day.
 
100TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
ARCHDIOCESE OF VANCOUVER
The first event to celebrate this anniversary will be held at the Rotary Stadium, Abbotsford (Directions: Stay on Highway 1 to Clearbrook Road – then take the loop and go North; turn right onto McLure; turn left onto Tretheway).  The Centennial Eucharistic Procession will take place on Sunday May 18 from 2:30 – 4:00pm.  The celebration will include the recitation of the Rosary in several languages, a solemn procession of the Holy Eucharist with parish representatives and groups with their banners, First Holy Communicants, clergy, and our two Archbishops.  All parishioners are encouraged to attend. Come rain or shine – bring a lawn chair & umbrella!
